Trivalent chromate conversion coating treatment

Trivalent chromium type aluminum chemical conversion coating treatment with high corrosion resistance equivalent to hexavalent chromate treatment (ideal for ADC12 material as well!).

This is a trivalent chromium type aluminum chemical conversion coating that does not contain hexavalent chromium, which is an environmentally hazardous substance. It has high corrosion resistance equivalent to the conventional hexavalent chromium type (Alojin 1200) and has passed the MIL standard salt spray test (ASTM B117) for 5%-168 hours. We have thorough process management in place, resulting in fewer defects such as stains and unevenness, and we have numerous adoption records for exterior parts. Additionally, we can accommodate matte finishes using shot blasting or chemical etching.

What is the reason for the difference in painting estimates between companies? The difference in the number of pre-treatment processes.

The estimates differ by double on the same drawing. The cause of the difference is not the paint, but the number of pre-treatment processes. Here’s an explanation of the perspective for comparison.

Even though we submitted the same drawings, the estimates differ by nearly double between companies. It's not due to the paint difference; it's due to the difference in the number of pre-treatment processes. ────────────── ■Cause of Occurrence The cost of metal baked painting is determined more by the pre-treatment than by the painting itself. There is a significant difference in effort between three processes that only involve degreasing and seven processes that include chemical treatment. ■Truth Low estimates may omit chemical treatment, relying only on degreasing and rinsing. While the appearance may be the same immediately after delivery, differences in rust and peeling will appear outdoors after six months. If there is no pre-treatment specification in the drawings, each company will estimate using the cheapest process. ■Improvement Measures Clearly specify the number of pre-treatment processes and the type of chemical treatment when requesting estimates. Including the required film thickness and salt spray test duration will align the conditions. Please utilize comparison materials on pre-treatment processes and quality differences.

What is the reason for not being able to request only painting? Pre-treatment and consistent process.

I want to outsource only the painting, but I'm being refused. I will explain the reason why separating the pre-treatment cuts off quality responsibility.

We will handle the pre-treatment ourselves, so we only want to request the painting. There are reasons for painting companies to decline that. ────────────── ■Cause of Occurrence The quality of the painting is largely determined by the pre-treatment. If another company performs the pre-treatment, it becomes difficult to determine the scope of responsibility in case of peeling. ■The Truth The conditions for degreasing and chemical treatment differ from factory to factory. If recontamination or rust occurs during transportation and storage, the records become fragmented and cannot be traced. As a result, the investigation into the cause of defects takes a long time each time. ■Improvement Measures We will choose a system where one company handles everything from pre-treatment to painting, inspection, and packaging. This will unify the process records and speed up the identification of causes in case of defects. Please utilize the materials summarizing the scope of the integrated process.

[Information] The Basics of Surface Treatment That You Can't Ask Now

Introducing "main surface treatments" such as metal film treatment and anodizing!

"Surface treatment" refers to a type of mechanical working method conducted in fields such as mechanical engineering to enhance the properties of the material's surface, including processes like plating and painting. It is also a subfield of materials technology, culminating in alloy design and belonging to a group of material process technologies that include processing, heat treatment, welding, and casting, while also being one of the auxiliary technology groups. This document introduces "main surface treatments" such as metal coating treatment and anodizing. We encourage you to read it. Zinc Phosphate Parker.com @ Eiwa Metal Coating

The highest level of "zinc phosphate coating treatment" as a pre-treatment for painting.

Whether it is powder coating, solvent-based baked coating, or air-drying coating, the adhesion performance of the paint film and its corrosion resistance greatly depend on the pre-treatment methods that create a suitable condition for painting. In other words, simply removing oil and dirt does not create an ideal condition for painting. Pre-treatment refers to preparing the surface to be suitable for painting. One of the methods that provides excellent corrosion resistance and adhesion among pre-treatment processes is zinc phosphate coating. We regularly measure the concentration of the treatment solution to ensure stable quality.

Static film treatment

After creating a clean surface, a treatment is necessary to re-form a more robust passivation film!

We would like to introduce our "passivation coating treatment." The surface of stainless steel is covered with a dense passivation film. Therefore, it is generally considered to be a material that is resistant to rust. However, various external factors such as the heat from welding during fabrication, oxidation scale, or iron dust and scratches from grinders can damage the surface film, leading to rust formation. After achieving a clean surface through chemical cleaning, it is necessary to perform a treatment to re-form a stronger passivation film. The same can be said for aluminum materials. 【Process】 1. Cleaning 2. Passivation treatment 3. Black light inspection *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Parker (manganese phosphate treatment)

Resistant to weak alkalinity! Extremely effective for the wear resistance of rotating and sliding parts of steel products.

On this homepage, we introduce "Parker (Manganese Phosphate Treatment)." Also known as Lubrite treatment, it generates a relatively thin manganese phosphate film of about 5μ in thickness on the surface of steel through a dipping method. Among various phosphate coatings, it is relatively hard, making it very effective for improving the wear resistance of rotating and sliding parts of steel products. Please be sure to visit our company website. 【Features】 ■ Also known as Lubrite treatment ■ Generates a relatively thin manganese phosphate film of about 5μ in thickness on the surface of steel ■ Very effective for improving the wear resistance of rotating and sliding parts of steel products ■ Resistant to weak alkalis ■ Turns yellow to brown at around 250°C and scales over 500°C *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Phosphate coating treatment

The phosphate coating is a compound produced by a chemical reaction, so it won't peel off!

We would like to introduce the "phosphate coating treatment" that we handle. When requesting phosphate treatment, it is necessary to decide whether it will be manganese-based, zinc or zinc-calcium-based, or iron-based. Unlike coatings or plating films, phosphate coatings are compounds generated through chemical reactions, so they do not peel off. [Factors for deciding specifications (partial)] <Manganese Phosphate (thick film)> ■ Want the color to be black and have better rust resistance than black dyeing ■ Used in combination with oil or grease for wear resistance under high loads ■ Used in combination with lubricating coating for wear resistance under high loads *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Phosphate Iron Coating Treatment Line

A treatment commonly used for surface preparation before painting, performed to suppress the progression of surface corrosion.

The "Iron Phosphate Coating Treatment Line" creates a thin, insoluble phosphate film on the surface to suppress the progression of corrosion. It is commonly used for pre-treatment before painting. The treatment aims to make the paint film difficult to peel off and to prevent rust from spreading even if scratches occur. The degreasing treatment with strong alkaline water, "Strong Alkaline Degreasing," combined with the use of this product, is effective for degreasing iron materials with strong oil and grease adhesion. 【Features】 ■ Creates a thin, insoluble phosphate film on the surface ■ Conducted to suppress the progression of corrosion ■ Commonly used for pre-treatment before painting ■ Aims to make the paint film difficult to peel off and to prevent rust from spreading even if scratches occur *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
